Big, bare and beautiful – Alaska is one of those places that stops you in snow dusted tracks and makes you feel as though you have fallen into another world. She is a whirl of falling snowflakes, turquoise and silver glacial rivers, the rosy halo known as the alpenglow blushing across the face of mountains, and the mystic of the lost and forgotten Tundra. With Alaska it truly seems as though you are in unchartered territory, one of the last wild places on earth, a spot of perfect purity where Mother Nature runs rampant and Father Time stands still. Watch whales shatter the surface of ancient waters, catch a glimpse of the burning yellow eyes of the Kodiak Bear, see a moose causally saunter past your window, and watch the Northern Lights blaze like poetry across the sky.
Only a short flight away and you stumble across mountains molded by a giant’s hand, waters the color of midnight blue, and dense fragrant forests of green in the majesty of Canada. This is a place where the moonlight catches on the carveClayoquot-outpost_overview_ensuite_tents.jpgd antlers of moose, where glaciers groan and whales sing their voices rising out of the icy seas, where rivers run riot and where cities are steeped beneath the weight of culture.
